A sensory perception of an event that is not really occurring. Hallucinations can affect any or all of the five physical senses (sight, hearing, touch, taste, smell). Hallucinations, usually visual, are common in Parkinson’s and can be side effects of ANTI-PARKINSON’S MEDICATIONS, particularly DOPAMINERGIC MEDICATIONS such as LEVODOPA and DOPAMINE AGONIST MEDICATIONS such as BROMOCRIPTINE and ROPINIROLE.
